Elections 2009/2010

The CNWJLD committee for 2008/2009 is reaching the end of its elected year. There are currently 9 positions on the committee, one of which is reserved for a College of Law Student (as Student Representative). The CNWJLD committee is responsible for organising a variety of social events throughout the year and has close links to the national JLD who are a specific group within the Law Society to provide support, advice and information.

The national JLD also lobbies and campaigns within the UK and internationally. If you are able to spare a couple of hours a month (give or take depending on the position) and are able to commit yourself to the committee for a year then read on... Nominations for the committee will be open between 9am on Monday, 12th October - 5pm on Friday, 30th October.

If we receive more than one nomination for the same position, the nominations will be put forward for an electronic vote between 9am on Monday, 2nd November - 5pm on Friday, 13th November.

The new commitee for 2009/2010 will be revealed at our Launch Night on Friday, 27th November at our social event in Chester (venue to be confirmed).

• A brief description of why you should be nominated for the  position
