The Chair

Adam Antoszkiw

Adam is a Solicitor at Mosshaselhurst Solicitors and specialises in Criminal Defence and Motoring Offences. Adam now lives in Nantwich after moving to Cheshire in 2008 from Yorkshire to undertake his Training Contract. Adam has been a member of the Committee since 2010, previously undertaking the role of Website Officer. Out of work Adam enjoys road running and golf. In the winter months you can find Adam indoors playing squash or relaxing at home playing his guitars.

Vice Chair

Rachel Phllips

Rachel qualified in 2008 and works for Bowcock Cuerden LLP in Nantwich. Rachel has been on the committee for CNWJLD (previously the Trainee Solicitors Group) since 2006 and is passionate about getting more people involved. Outside of all things legal, Rachel plays the piano most of the time and accompanies several choirs as well as being Musical Director for a Wrexham based musical theatre group.

Secretary

Sarah Roberts

Sarah is a Personal Injury Solicitor at Duncan Gibbins Solicitors and specialises in RTA, accident at work and slip and trip cases. Originally from Derby, Sarah moved to Chester in 2006 to complete the Legal Practice Course at The College of Law in Chrisleton, and now lives there with her husband. Sarah joined the CNWLD committee last year and was keen to stay on for another year. In her spare time Sarah enjoys spending time with friends, cake decorating, attending pub quizzes and watching football.

Treasurer

      Chris Parkin         

Chris is a Trainee Solicitor with SAS Daniels LLP and currently works within their Corporate Department in Stockport. Chris read Materials Science Engineering at Liverpool University before completing the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Chester, where he now lives. Outside of work Chris is a keen rugby player and also enjoys playing squash as well as escaping the city with weekend mountain climbing trips to Snowdonia, Peak District and Lake District.           

Funding Officer

Sarah Loan

Sarah is currently studying the LPC at the College of Law, Chester. She received an upper second class honours degree from Hull University in 2011, where she was an enthusiastic member of the Student Law Society. She looks forward to being just as enthusiastic about the CNWJLD. In her spare time Sarah is a Young Leader for the local Rainbow Guides and enjoys shopping, visiting friends, cooking and baking. 

Social Secretary

Scott McCrimmon

Scott is a Solicitor at Jacobs Solicitors and his main aim for this year’s committee is to integrate the Law Society members and to promote a sense of community amongst members, regardless of year of study or specialised area of Law or experience. Scott is enthusiastic about promoting the CNWJLD over the next year and is looking forward to helping develop and continue its success.

Publicity Officer

Ruth Carins

Ruth is a Claims Manager at the Professional Indemnity Company, based in Broughton, having recently completed her LPC at the College of Law. Ruth undertook her Law degree at Exeter University, but has now returned home and is keen to embark on her role of raising the profile of the CNWJLD. Outside of work and the CNWJLD, Ruth is a keen musician and can frequently be found wielding her flute, ‘cello or saxophone on a stage, bandstand or street near you!

National Representative

James Roochove

James qualified as a solicitor in October 2010. Having completed his training with a leading firm in the South East, James has recently relocated to Chester, it being the home town of his wife. James acts as a student adviser at the College of Law's legal advice centre and volunteers for the Save the Family charity. He is looking forward to continuing his role on the committee by representing members' views at a national level. Aside from law, James has a strong interest in politics, current affairs and genealogy - the latter hobby having led him to Belarus to trace part of his family tree.  

Website Officer

Hannah Kirkham

Hannah is a Trainee Solicitor at Allington Hughes Solicitors, currently splitting her time between the busy Criminal and Private Client departments. Hannah studied Law at Cardiff University and went on the study the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Chester in 2009/10. Outside of work Hannah enjoys socialising with friends, reading and taking her adorable Jack Russell dog for long walks in the countryside. She is enthusiastic about being part of the committee and is hoping to help raise the legal profession’s awareness of the CNWJLD over the next year.

Student Representatives

Madeline Fahey

Madeline is currently studying the LPC at the College of Law in Manchester whilst also working part time as a Business Developer for a local business in Chester. She studied English at the University of Nottingham and completed the Graduate Diploma in Law in 2010. She has recently obtained a Training Contract at a law firm in Chester which she will be starting in September 2012. Madeline hopes to encourage current student members to continue playing an active role within the CNWJLD as they progress their legal careers.

James Pearson

James is currently studying the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Chester. He has extensive experience of sitting on and working with committees. In university, during the second year he set up and established the Amnesty International Society and became its president and chair of the committee. Moreover he is a Governor of an NHS Foundation trust and a Governor of a leading further education provider . He is a dedicated and passionate individual and is looking forward to becoming part of the CNWJLD.
