Events
We have a number of events coming up in the next few months, the first of those being an exciting and lively seminar.
Thursday 16 September - Deans Court Chambers will be hosting an interactive and exciting seminar on Advocacy at the Queen Hotel,
City Road, Chester. A great opportunity to brush up on your advocacy skills, get some tips from Chambers representatives and network with fellow junior lawyers.The seminar will take place from 6.00pm in the Edward Suite, the Queen Hotel, Chester, followed by a free drinks reception courtesy of social@cnwjld.org.uk

Whether you are newly qualified and celebrating admittance or a bit long in the tooth this will be a great event for you to let your hair down and start the weekend in style. If you are interested in joining the committee for the coming year feel free to chat informally with current committee members and learn more about the positions available.
October 29th, The Pitcher and Piano, Chester - Join us for drinks at the Pitcher and Piano. Enjoy a cool cocktail or some lively lagers.
26th November, Chester - 2010-2011 Launch Night. The waiting will be over and your new committee for 2010/2011 will be announced at our Launch Night. A great opportunity for you to meet your new committee and, of course, enjoy a few free drinks.
Friends, guests and colleagues are welcome to all of our events to socialise and network and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Fond Farewells
The committee have said farewell to Vice Chair, Tom Pelham and Rachael Tucker, Student Representative.Tom has left the committee early to pursue his career at Manchester firm, Kennedys. The committee wish him the best of luck for the future and thank him for all his hard work over the last two years. Rachael has left for the big smoke to start her training contract at the London offices of Irwin Mitchell. We would like to thank Rachael for drumming up plenty of student support and wish her well in her training contract.

As well as offering advice directly to those affected by the demise of Halliwells and other trainees who find themselves in the difficult position of having their training contracts withdrawn, the Junior Lawyers Division is organising a networking event in Manchester for members seeking a training contract.
